Press release on 2019 benchmark revision of external statistics

The National Bank of Romania updated the series of indicators for external statistics for the period 2013-2018, aligning to the benchmark1 revision provided by the Harmonised European Revision Policy for Macroeconomic Statistics.
The revised statistical series of external sector indicators for the period 2013 - 2018 were updated on the NBR website, in the statistical section and in the interactive database and were used for drawing up the 2018 edition of the Romania’s Balance of payments and international investment position report. The revised data for the period January-September 2019 will be disseminated on December 16th 2019, with the publication of the monthly press release Balance of payments and external debt - October 2019.
