  7. 08/11/2024 NBR Board decisions on monetary policy The NBR Board decided to keep the monetary policy rate at 6.5% p.a., to leave unchanged the lending (Lombard) facility rate at 7.5% p.a., the deposit facility rate at 5.5% p.a. and to keep the existing levels of minimum reserve requirement ratios on both leu- and foreign currency-denominated liabilities of credit institutions.

  9. 01/11/2024 International reserves – October 2024 On 31 October 2024, the National Bank of Romania’s foreign exchange reserves stood at EUR 62,841 million, compared to EUR 65,778 million on 30 September 2024. The gold stock remained steady at 103.6 tonnes. On 31 October 2024, Romania’s international reserves (foreign currencies and gold) stood at EUR 71,361 million, compared to EUR 73,663 million on 30 September 2024.

  14. 23/10/2024 Monetary indicators - September 2024 In September 2024, RON loans to non-government sector (69.8% of total) grew by 1.5% month-on-month, whilst foreign currency-denominated loans expressed in RON (30.2% of total) rose by 0.9%. In year-on-year comparison, loans to non-government sector advanced 8.4%, on the back of the 11.1% increase in RON-denominated loans and the 2.6% rise in foreign currency-denominated loans expressed in RON.
