Press release regarding Romania’s representative at the International Monetary Fund

The National Bank of Romania announces that Deputy Governor Liviu Voinea has been appointed Romania’s representative at the International Monetary Fund and will assume the position of Senior Advisor to the IMF Executive Director starting 26 August 2019. In order to begin his tenure at the IMF, Mr. Liviu Voinea will relinquish his position as Deputy Governor of the NBR on the same date. Mr. Mugur Tolici’s tenure at the IMF will cease on 23 August 2019 at his request.
