Numismatic issues dedicated to 100 years since Radu Beligan’s birth

Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 312/2004 on the Statute of the National Bank of Romania, as of 14 December 2018, the National Bank of Romania will put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, a silver coin dedicated to 100 years since Radu Beligan’s birth
The coin has the following characteristics:
- Face value: 10 lei;
- Metal: silver;
- Fineness: 999‰;
- Shape: round;
- Diameter: 37 mm;
- Weight: 31.103 g;
- Quality: proof;
- Edge: milled
Obverse: a composition suggesting theatre shows and films, the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “10 LEI” and the year of issue “2018”.
Reverse: the portrait of the actor Radu Beligan and the inscriptions “RADU BELIGAN” and “100 DE ANI DE LA NASTERE” in an arc.
The silver coins are individually housed in transparent plastic capsules and are accompanied by leaflets featuring a presentation of the numismatic issue in Romanian, English and French. Each leaflet comes with a certificate of authenticity bearing the signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier of the National Bank of Romania.
The mintage of this issue is 200 silver coins.
The selling price is lei 345.00, VAT excluded, per silver coin, including the leaflet.
The silver coins dedicated to 100 years since Radu Beligan’s birth are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
The silver coins will be put into circulation, for numismatic purposes, through the regional branches of the National Bank of Romania in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași and Timișoara.
