For the past 17 years, with a notable interruption of three years due to the pandemic, the National Bank of Romania (NBR), in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has been organizing the seminar on financial stability issues. This year’s event took place on 21-22 September 2023 at the NBR Training Center in Sinaia.

Officials and experts from central banks and financial authorities in seventeen countries in Europe or the same IMF Constituency as Romania (Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom) participated in the seminar, along with specialists from the NBR and the IMF, representatives of international institutions and bodies (European Commission, European Central Bank, European Systemic Risk Board, European Banking Authority, Single Resolution Board, Bank for International Settlements, European Investment Bank, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), representatives of academia (The Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași), as well as representatives of Romanian authorities (Financial Supervisory Authority, Ministry of Finance).
